BYTES~ To Make Ready A People Prepared For The Lord

6 Ways To Prepare To Be Made Ready To Serve The Lord.

By Meaghan Spies

Luke 1:17(NKJV) 'He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” {Angelic prophecy about John the Baptist}.

1. God Is Always Ready

The Holy Spirit has such witty, yet insightful, ways of revealing the will of God. “To make ready a people prepared for the Lord,” is such a profound, witty, yet insightful statement full of the mysteries and the will of God which are only accessible through a closer walk with the Holy Spirit.

I Corinthians 2:9-10 But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

God is always ready. God is always ready to give what He has prepared to those who love Him. But we who love Him are not always mentally, emotionally or spiritually ready for the great things God has prepared and kept in store for us. So God made a way for us to get ready to do and to enjoy the great things. Through the operations of the Holy Spirit in us, by the teachings and guidance of ministers after His own heart, and by the renewing of our minds through the Bible, God transforms us from faith to faith, and from glory to glory into a people made ready prepared for the Lord.

2.  Are You Ready?

Your journey begins when you can say to the Lord, I don’t know where or how to begin, so I must be ready! When we stop trying to figure everything out, when we stop laying good plans for God to follow, when we realize that we can do nothing in our own strength, but that with God we can do all things, then we are ready to begin our journey to becoming a people made ready prepared for the Lord.

3.  Your Journey Starts Here

Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ ~ God.

Spending time with the Holy Spirit in praise, prayer, reading, studying, meditating and then doing the Word on a daily basis is a form of calling on God, which prepares the soil of our hearts to hear from God, making us ready, a people prepared for the Lord who will see His great and mighty things which we did not know.

4.  Run The Race Set Before You

I Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.

You have your own race, your own lane to run in. Quit trying to run someone else’s race. Refuse to keep glancing over at their path, wishing you had what they have. Stop believing God is withholding from you because your race is so different to theirs. Your race is different for a reason, for the purposes God needs you to fulfill in your lifetime. God has gifted you for your race, to fulfill the purpose He has set for you. He has not made a mistake yet. As you keep running, staying in your lane, obedient to the voice of His Spirit, then you will begin to see what God is making you ready for, what He is preparing you for. Run the race set before you. Run to win your race. Run to obtain the prize Christ Jesus has in store for you, all His good things for you. Keep your eyes, therefore, firmly fixed on Jesus and then the things of this world will no longer distract you from the great destiny awaiting you.

5.  Run At Rest

Hebrews 4:1-3 Therefore since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. For indeed the Gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the Word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. For we who have believed do enter that rest…

Run at rest, at rest in the Lord and in the finished work of the Cross by faith, that is. You must believe that what God has promised (those good things prepared for you who love Him), He is able also to perform. Faith inGod is resting in God. When we are at rest in God it shows that we believe Him absolutely, that He will bring to pass all His Divine Assurances of good to us. Run so as to obtain the prize, the prize of being ready, prepared to do whatever God asks you to do, to go where He says to go, and to say what He says.

6. Get Ready, Be Ready, Stay Ready

preparedestinedmeaghans.blogspot.com

Get ready, be ready and stay ready.

Get ready by believing God’s promise in His Word for those who love Him.

Be ready for whatever assignment God has for you,

and Stay ready. You never know when the Master’s call is coming.

God wants you ready, prepared to enjoy and complete all the good things He has reserved in store for you.

Prepare well. It’s going to be good!
