Don't Lose Your Faith
BYTES~ Don't Lose Your Faith

So Moses returned to the Lord and said, “Lord, why have You brought trouble on this people? Why is it You have sent me? For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done evil to this people; neither have You delivered Your people at all.” Exodus 5:22-23
There are times we know we are losing our faith. Things do not seem to be improving. In fact, it all seems stagnant, resistant to change; going nowhere. Actually, things seem to be getting worse, not better. You are resisting a spiritual heaviness akin to despair, doing spiritual warfare almost on a daily basis, yet nothing has changed. You feel drained, weary, tired of fighting because you feel you are always losing the battle. At those times we can definitely feel our faith leaking out.
A Tight Place
Moses and the children of Israel were experiencing those same emotions, leaking faith, in Egypt. Now Egypt in the Hebrew is Mitzraim meaning a tight place; a place of pressing. They were in a tight place, a place they just wanted to be delivered from. Have you ever been in a tight place where you felt pressured all the time, that you just wanted to get out from? That's how Israel felt, and more, in Egypt.
They knew God had spoken to Moses, that God was about to fulfill the promise He had made to Abraham 430 years ago that He would deliver them from the oppression and cruelty of slavery in Egypt. They were excited and ready for change! But something was wrong: God wasn't moving, things were still the same. In fact, they were getting worse.
Let My People Go!
From the day Moses stood up to Pharaoh, demanding with all Godly authority and backing what God had told him to say to Pharaoh to: Let My people go!, things had gone from bad to worse. Everyone thought the first time Moses spoke God’s Word Pharaoh would fear God and let His people go. But he didn't. Pharaoh's heart was hardened and he increased the pressure on the people and the cruelty toward the people, making their tasks as slaves more difficult.
You know you heard from God. You know He told your troubles to, Let My child go! You thought your deliverance, your healing, your breakthrough, was imminent. But something is wrong. Nothing has happened! You are still sick, you are still stuck, you are still under cruel bondage to your situation. In fact, things seem to be going from bad to worse for you and you don't know why. You are just about to give up. You are under so much pressure. Your Faith is leaking out. You just don't have anymore fight left in you. What do you do?
Don't lose your faith! That's what you do!
Don't Lose Your Faith!
The children of Israel gave up on God and watched their faith-- that they would leave Egypt, be rid of that trouble once and for all, be delivered and be on their way to the Promised Land-- dry up in the hot, cruel desert sun. They gave up on the idea of ever being free. They gave in to their doubts and fears and bought into the lie that with God, nothing was possible.
Moses seemed to have lost his faith, too, but after spending time with God, bringing his care before the Lord, Moses found new strength to finish his race, to get the job done!
What happened in Moses that didn't happen in the rest of the people of God?
You see, this still happens among us as Believers. The majority of the church will give in to despair, doubt, fear and unbelief, leaking faith, when pressure and tough times come. But there are a handful of Believers who are like Moses, who are enduring similar challenges, yet are standing strong; their faith is not leaking out! They are not losing their faith! In fact, the more difficult, pressurized and challenging the attacks, onslaughts and pressures become, the taller they stand, the stronger their faith and vision for a better future becomes, and the closer they draw to God!
Moses ran to God when he did not understand what was going on. He did not run from God when life got tough as the rest of the people did. By my calculation, and I could be wrong, Moses told Pharaoh what God had said at least twelve times over a period of ten months(as the rabbi's believe) to, Let My people go! Each time Moses said it to Pharaoh, Pharaoh's heart grew harder, but Moses faith in God, that He would perform what He had said, grew stronger.
Every time the battle gets hotter, the circumstances grow worse, and the pressure is on to lose your faith, don't! Run to God, not from God, when your troubles, cares, and emotions threaten to sink you.
If God promised you deliverance from demonic onslaught or addictions, healing, breakthrough, prosperity, peace, joy, etc., then rest assured, no matter how long it takes, that promise is on its way!
If you don't have it yet then it's not time yet! Don't Lose your faith while waiting on God. Keep believing, cling to hope, and run to God, casting all your cares on Him, for He cares for you and soon, sooner than you think, you will be out of that tight place for ever!
