Press Through Until You Break Through

Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13‭-‬14

{Extract from my book "Woman Of Faith"}: Do not just make a token effort to impress God. Press forward toward your inheritance in Christ Jesus. Press through until you get to the breakthrough you have been hoping, praying and believing for! God does not reward half-hearted efforts. He will test you to see how badly you want what He has for you.

Be like Perez (Genesis 38:27-30), Jesus ancestor, and press through until you break through! Keep your trajectory ever upward, reaching continuously for the prize of the upward call of God ready and waiting for you in Christ Jesus. Be assured, the view is spectacular from the top!

Never Settle For Less Than God's Best For Your Life

As I read those words in my book again, it stirs the fire in me to never stop pressing toward the upward call of God in Christ Jesus for me! I am reminded of the passion with which Holy Spirit spoke these words to me: "Never settle for less than God's Best for you!" If you want to see God's Best For Your Life, you need to put in more than a token effort to impress God! You need to daily build the fire and strive to maintain the zeal in your heart to finish well the race that is set before you.

How To Successfully Press Through To Break Through:

You need to press through to break through if you want to realize, live out and enjoy God's Best for you! Pressing through setbacks, disappointments, rejections, betrayals, fear and doubt requires:

a) Purposefully and Mindfully Drawing Nearer To God.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8

A daily move in the right direction to draw nearer to God always gets the reaction from God of drawing nearer to you to strengthen you, encourage you and take you to the next level of His Best that He has in store for you! It is a good thing to put your trust in God and to draw closer to Him. There in His Presence you will always find that much-needed grace to help in time of need.

But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, That I may declare all Your works. Psalms 73:28

b) An Inner Knowing That, No Matter What, You Win!

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
II Corinthians 2:14

In order to press through to break through to God's Best for your life, you need to surrender to God any tendencies toward negativity, to giving up easily, and to talking yourself out of faith and into fear and doubt. 

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. 

James 1:6‭-‬8 

Develop a Winners Mentality in you that, with God and through Christ, you always win, that you are more than a conqueror, no matter what! And never let that Winner's Attitude go. 

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37 

c) Fighting For Your Thoughts

I cannot emphasize enough how important fighting for your thoughts is. Keeping your mind stayed and set on what God says about you, your life and its outcome, is how you fight for your thoughts. Doubts, fear, and fatigue from holding on will come. That is when you need to stand strong, unwavering in your faith in God that His good plans for your life (Jeremiah 29:11) will come to pass, that you will see it, and that His promises are yours. 

Press Through Until You Break Through 

Press Through Until You Break Through. Never ever give up. Believing God has more for you is not wishful thinking. It is knowing God is real and that He always keeps His promise; that He is not a man that He should lie. Pressing through until you receive the breakthrough is faith in God in action. 

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6 

As I wrote in my book, encouraging the reader to keep the trajectory, your movement in life, up always, so I am encouraging you today: Press Through and keep Pressing Through Until you see the Breakthrough you desire. Do not settle for less than God's Best for you! Be assured, the view is spectacular from the top!
